This $1.00 fine silver Kangaroo Proof coin is a legal tender collector coin,
struck by The Royal Australian Mint to the highest minting quality.
The design featured on the coin reverse is from a painting by Aboriginal
artist Jeanette Timbery. Jeanette belongs to the Bidjigal tribe and was
born and grew up in La Perouse, New South Wales. She spent her
childhood assisting her father paint, but over the years has developed a
style that is very much her own. The obverse features the effigy of Her
Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.
Thoughtfully sculptured by Wojciech Pietranik, this coin celebrates
Australia's best-known animal. This is the ninth coin to be released in
the Silver Kangaroo Series. Made from 99.9% fine silver, this coin
comes complete to you with a Certificate of Authenticity and is housed
