AUSTRALIAN'S AT WAR COMPLETE SET 2003

This is a stunning collection of coins that has been brought out by the Perth
Mint in honor of those who served their country during five
major conflicts of the twentieth century. The set comprises of 5 silver
privy mark coins, replica service medals and tribute medallions. Five
2003 dated Australian Kookaburra coins, struck from 2 ounces of
99.9% pure silver, featuring the nations best known native bird - the
Kookaburra - together with a color privy mark representation of a
service medal awarded to personnel who served in either the Boer War,
World War I, World War II, the Korean War or the Vietnam War.
This magnificent series of Australian legal tender coins is presented with
additional elements of historic significance, including miniature
replicas of the service medals and ribbons. They are the Queen's South
Africa Medal, the Victory Medal 1914-1919, the Australia
Service Medal 1935-1945, the Korea Medal, and the Vietnam Medal.
Australians at War also features five original commemorative medallions,
designed and struck by the Perth Mint from one ounce of 99.9% pure
silver. Portraying images associated with one of the five conflicts, each
medallion is a unique reminder of the personnel and fighting equipment
of that era.
The Mint will release just 2500 Complete Collections, containing of all five
coins, five replica medals and five medallions. Splendidly presented in
a handmade, blue presentation box featuring the official Australians at
War emblem and a replica of the Australian Army's Rising Sun badge
on the lid, each Complete Collection is accompanied by a beautifully
produced 12 page booklet incorporating fascinating historical
information and a serial numbered Certificate of Authenticity. An
absolutely brilliant collection of coins which will take a pride of place
in any collectors display.
